Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks
America: Yesterday, Today and Forever
2013

Rockaway Beach is ultimate 4th of July destination. The City staff begins preparing for our Independence Day parade months in advance. We take pride in presenting what has been said to be “the best small town parade on the Coast” which includes a flyover by the National Guard. This year our parade theme is America: Yesterday, Today and Forever.  Whether you decide to participate in the parade or choose to be an observer, you are sure to have nothing short of the best 4th of July experience ever.

After the parade you can enjoy lunch at the newly renovated Ocean’s Edge Wayside.  Looking for some family fun? Join the Lions Club sponsored Fun Day at the Beach. Or, you may want to take your furry companions to Phyllis Baker Park to enjoy the 7th Annual Firecracker Weiner Nationals dachshund races.

At dusk the Rockaway Beach Volunteer Fire Department will again sponsor the most spectacular fireworks display on the Oregon coast. Few occasions can top the event filled day that Rockaway Beach has planned for you and your family to build long lasting memories.
