RBPD Sergeant Stewart - Tuesday, May 28, 2013
Sergeant Stewart joined the Rockaway Beach Police Department as a police recruit on June 16, 2008. Stewart distinguished himself first as a police officer, willing to put forward the effort to improve his personal skill set and then as an instructor assisting others along the way. Stewart has received several operational commendations which recognize both his law enforcement skills and his compassion while dealing with victims and suspects. His calm but firm demeanor has been credited with defusing several situations before they got out of hand. I am very proud of Sergeant Stewart and if you were unable to attend the May 24 event, please congratulate him on his accomplishments at your earliest opportunity.
